Can be writers from comics or *gasp* actual books!
I would have to say Edgar Allan Poe. His Pit and the Pendulum was really gruesome. The Tell-Tale Heart, Murders in the Rue Morgue, Fall of the House of Usher, The Gold-Bug, The Cask of Amontillado, The Black Cat-- The list goes on! An incredibly criticized writer that gave me something to scare myself at night when I was younger: Edgar Allan Poe. |

Well I recently read H.G. Well's The War of The Worlds. It's great, even though it's a pretty quick read. I also picked up The Time Machine. It wasn't as interesting but it was good fun. So yeah, he's awesome.
BTW Kevin when I was younger my big sis read me an Edgar Allen Poe story. I can't remember what it was called (something like the Curse of the Red Mask, I think) but it was about a party that some rich bastards went to and all got killed by this wierd guest who was supposed to be Death. I've hated her ever since. _________________ PROUD MEMBER OF THE ULTIMATE MARVELS!!!!

So i just read Stephan Kings Short Story Rage. This book blew my mind. Its almost 200 pages or so and i read it in like 2 hours. I just couldnt put it down. If you see it pick it up. Its also in a paperback set call the Bachmen Books. That Set also includes The Long Walk (Which i am curently reading and which is also amazingly amazing), Road Construction, and the Running Man. _________________ CowBoy From HEll
