I'll give this a shot this week.

Marvel:

Ultimate Fantastic Four 43: B-. Halfway through the issue, I was thinking about dropping this title. I'm just not a fan of how the arcs pan out, or how the current writer has developed the characters of the FF. But then the Silver Surfer spoke, and I decided to wait it out for this arc. He seems interesting, and it was a good cliffhanger ending.

World War Hulk Gamma Corps #1: B+. Slow beginning, but looks promising. As with all the WWH Tie-ins, I'm just waiting for some Hulk-fighting.

Ultimate Vision #4: B+. Gah Lak Tus is still terrifying. But I can't help thinking this mini would be so much better if Vision could fight back.

X-Men Endangered Species Parts 2 and 3: A. Yes, as expensive as it is, I'm reading the whole thing. And so far, it's very good. Though most of the villains rejected Beast's request, in these issues he travels to the High Evolutionary for some help, and only receives riddles. I'm very interested to see how this one ends.

Oni

Stephen Colbert's Tek Jansen #1: A. Awesome. Very funny, just like Stephen Colbert's humor.

Well i managened to get one comic this week. And i got the last copy too! Here is is.

ULTIMATE SPIDER MAN 111- A[+++++] GREAT!!!!! The story was amazing. I was exactly what you would expect AND MORE!!!! The spot was spot on. (Dumb joke i know) Immonen isnt that bad of an artist but after seeing Bagleys awsome art for 110 1/2 issues its just so hard to really accepect it. Hell do good but it will take awhile to get used to. Then the ending. (Note. Back of the comic not a spoiler) Bagelys good bye letter. Just made the comic perfect. WOOO USM!!!

Guess I'm by meself this week...

Stephen King's The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born #7
I can't start my review without criticizing the sheer ominous and artistic feel the cover releases. It's so primal and captivating that it's impossible to ignore this piece. Anyhoo, back to the grading...
This issue is packed with action, violence, and gory images that I would considere a MAJOR payoff. Even though I felt it was a tadbit rushed, I still enjoyed the hell out of this book and it's ballbusting ending. Oh, and it's great to know that this won't be the last Dark Tower comic to be made.
Grade: A+

The New Avengers: Illuminati #4
I can't help but be just mildly decieved by the cover a little. Yes, there's some mention about the women but this wasn't what the issue was mainly about. The main story was about this Kree soldier called Marvel Boy who made an ultimatum, declaring war on Earth. I never read anything about this character before Civil War: Young Avengers & Runaways limited series but all I do know is that he's this Kree soldier who was caught... and that's it. In this issue, a little bit is explained but I can't say I want to see more of this guy. Out of all the Illuminati issues, this is my least favorite.
Grade: B-

The New Fantastic Four #548
Nothing huge happens in this issue except some conflicts with the Frightful Four captivating Sue while they foolishly believe they killed Reed. Reed and the new FF meet up then to fight the Frightfuls. Every member of the Frightfuls are beaten except thier leader, Wizard, who decides to call another villian called Klaw to help (who I have never even heard of before). Also, it seems that this book should be appropiately be called the Fantastic Six, seeing how Black Panther and Storm were supposed to replace Reed and Sue but really aren't.
Grade: B-

New Warriors #3
This series is slowly interesting me more and more. Conspiracies and rumors are being made and the reader is left scratching their head. The art is also somewhat reminding of Yanick Paquette's. The only downside is that I can probably identify a handful of familiar faces but otherwise I'm clueless.
Grade: B

Thor #2
This new series has so far had plenty of dialogue and a lot of setting up for future issues but until then we're stuck with no action at all. I don't want to bash this book because I know it has a load of potential. The pencils are pitch perfect by Coipel who's turning into one of my favorites. The side characters are totally believable but I want the Asgardians, dammit! Hopefully, I'll get my request next issue.
Grade: B

World War Hulk #3
What. A. Badass. Freaking. Issue. So many things to cover but so few without big spoilers. The army attacks Hulk and he doesn't let down. Strange decides to help as well with his incantations to calm him down. Sentry's sort of getting on my nerves though... If he's going to do anything, go for it already. Rick Jones, on the other hand, is trying his damnest to stop this devastion but to no avail. Casualties aplenty as well in this ish and I feel like I'm rooting for the wrong side-- which even Civil War couldn't accomplish. And last but certainly not the least, I am lovin' the final page!!! I never saw it comin'!!!
Grade: A+

Marvel Spotlight: World War Hulk
Very well done interviews with Greg Pak and John Romita, Jr. and more Hulk-related articles.
Grade: A

My pick of the week is...

Dark Tower #7. Major payoff indeed... While WWH was the bomb, this was a crazy-good book. Plus, Lee and Isanove are the masters of comic book art.

Forgive me, guys! I completely forgot about this yesterday!! I got a load of books this week, though I'm still missing a few that I've been putting off...

The New Avengers #33
I'm sorta confused of what's going on right now in this arc. The whole Skrull thing's not captivating me as much as I thought it would. Also there's another side story that confuses the hell out of me. I mean, we see some characters here that are in the current arc of The New Fantastic Four! Although I'm guessing this story takes place before it... hopefully. The reason I picked this book out was because of the whole Skrull conflict not this Hood character (although who seems mildly interseting).
Grade: B

Ms. Marvel #18
Can't say I planned to get this issue but I kinda like the whole superhero soap opera. The art isn't half-bad by Aaron Lopresti and Brian Reed can muster some awesome dialogue. Guest stars galore! Sleepwalker, Aaron Stack aka Machine Man, Beast, Tigra, Stature, and hell, JJJ too! I also enjoy the crap out of the villian, Puppet Master.
Grade: B

Thunderbolts: Desperate Measures
The one one-shot that I've been waiting for! A lot happens in this issue but skipping this one wouldn't really affect the main storyline. The two characters I adored of this team, Penance and Bullseye, get the main spotlight. Basically, Norman feels like he should scare Penance out of his team, so he gets the toughest fugitive he could find to take care of that-- Americop. Bullseye tags along to take him out. A perfect Penance story by Paul Jenkins and Steve Lieber.
Grade: B+

Omega Flight #5
Here we are, at the end of this slowass miniseries. Much action ensues as a sacrifice is made to stop the Wrecking Crew. The sacrifice ought to piss off some loyal fans of the character, but I'm not one of them so I really don't care. Although the character was quite appealing, the death was the probably the only reason they would be considered important. And at the very end of this ish things really contradict this death as every death in comics does.
Grade: C

Punisher War Journal #10
Finally!! One issue in this arc where the time is set in the present! The whole Nazi worshipper gang is taken care of by Punisher and the help of his cast. Punisher whips the leader and harbors a secret that can't be revealed to his companion. Surprisngly, there's still another issue in this arc which involves Bucky. Can't wait.
Grade: B

World War Hulk: Frontline #3
I'm loving this series way too much and how it coincides with WWH. Paul Jenkins' the perfect scribe for these kind of street books. I can totally imagine him scripting something like Punisher or Daredevil! Great series so far...
Grade: A

The Incredible Hulk #109
Without a doubt these Hulk issues are the most important out of all the WWH tie-ins. Amadeus and his renegades continue to help Hulk but the Green Scar refuses to be helped, luckily his Warbound are kind to them. The last page rocks!! Next issue is the last Incredible Hulk tie-in. Sweet!
Grade: A

Wraith #2
After that last issue, I was completely confused, but this one actually explains things. Like Wraith's origin! It's great to see the original Annihilation characters. I want to see where this guy's going.
Grade: B+

Nova #5
Man, them Phalanx are hardasses! They slaughter the hell out of some poor Kree!! Luckily, one Kree gained Nova's Worldmind and opened a can of whupass! Nova on the otherhand is knocked out cold. The ending leaves your jaw dropped down to the floor. It's unbelievable.
Grade: A

Ultimate X-Men #85
This issue's giving me some hope for the future. Kirkman may not be anywhere as good as Millar (No where!!). But he does escalate the story just a little bit. There are too many plots going down and they all feel like they should be seperate arcs. Not much to do but to stick around 'til Kirkman comes up with something truly amazing...
Grade: B-

Stephen King's The Dark Tower: Gunslinger's Guidebook
I've been waiting for this since April! I haven't read everything but this little guidebook is extremely helpful for me. It's totally not necessary though...
Grade: B+

YOu guys know what they are going to do with the skrull story line right? Captian America who died was actually the first skrull to take over a persons life.

But as for ateing all ive got is this.

Ultimates 2 Vol 2. Issues 7-13.
Great run. It was wonderful how they spread the fights through all the issues. Adn Hawkeye is now and forever will be (even if Bendis comes there and kills him again) A god among mortals.

Yeah, I at first thought that too but Bendis states that's not true! Also, remember when Elektra died, she automatically turned into a Skrull while Cap didn't!!

Beacuse of the media. Lots of comic reader and the people around the comic reader might know but the people that just want to see the movie? Like with the back in black for spider man. What was the main reason for puttin him in the black costume? Beacuse the movie had come out and if people that liked the movie wanted to read it then seeing the black suit would make them want to see it more. This is the same for the Cap movie.

I wish. When a movie starts to head to theaters the media department takes over a part of the writers and makes small changes. That hollywood. They just want profit.

Cap won't come back. He can't. The consequences of doing so would cause Marvel to lose many fans by doing so, Marvel would lose a substantial amount of profits. I doubt Marvel has the balls to do something like that...

Dude. They are going to do something like Dcs Crsis or something like that. Or zero hour. There going to have a universe shattering event where he gets to come back and fans will be liek HELL YEAH instead of just doing something small. Its going to use all of the 616 universe.
