New Avengers 31- A- Good, but did not fully live up to my expectations

Nova 3- A Great Issue. Loved Fight with T-Bolt

Sub-Mariner 1- B+ Preatty good. Mostly set up for rest of series.
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man- B Good. But only advanced story a little
Mystic Arcana: Magic- A- I liked it. It was well written and planned out.

World War Hulk 1- A+ AMAZING. LOVED IT. only flaw was lack of fight with Black Bolt

Best= World War Hulk NO DUH

Annihilation: Conquest- Prologue - [A] - Very well done extra-sized issue that has one of THE best last pages in a comic I have ever seen!! Man, I did not expect that at all and this beats last year's Annihilation Prologue. Mike Perkins not only can draw sweet crime books like Captain America but he's awesome in sci-fi books too.

Fallen Son- Death of Captain America: Spider-Man - [B+] - Loved how Spider-Man was acting this issue. He's so emotional with Cap's death meanwhile whipping an innocent Rhino. So far this series has been really good but I can't wait 'til John Cassaday comes in with Iron Man!!

Captain America #27 - [A] - Great quality work Brubaker has weaved here. Bucky is extremely conflicted and is just trying to tie some loose ends that have been in his head like... killing Tony Stark and stealing Cap's shield!!! That's bound to be one great battle.

Moon Knight #11 - [B+] - I'm getting confused due to the chronological order here but one thing's for certain: Moon Knight has a crapload of problems he needs to take care of. He's fighting his psycho sidekick, while trying to balance his romantic life, meanwhile Tony Stark is going to ask him for something!

Incredible Hulk #107 - [A] - It's great to see some more followers backing Ol' Green Jeans. I'm assuming these tie-ins will focus more on Hulk's cast rather than just focusing on Hulk which is cool with me.

Iron Man: Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. - [B+] - This new team has some great chemistry. Writer Christos Gage and artisit Butch Guice are superb together! The old Tony Stark is finally back! He's no longer the same ass he was in Civil War, folks! He's a hero again!! Oh, but he's getting whipped... Such a shame...

Ghost Rider #12 - [B-] - Nothing much happens in this here issue 'cept Johnny sacrificing some lives to take care of some vengance and a setup for the next fight with GR and the Green Scar.

Heroes For Hire #11 - [C] - I'd have to say that this ish is the weakest of this crop. It starts off ending last issue's arc! I was confused until they mention the Hulk! But I do like how some things tie-in to the core series.

Ultimate Spider-Man #110 - [A] - Masterful issue done by Bendis and Bagley. Finally, Kingpin gets what he deserves-- finally!! The dialogue was pitch perfect and the real reason why Iron Fist was doing what he was is revealed. I can see his motives but I felt he's deeply sorry for his actions. Moon Knight was given a special role here and he shined!! He was mysterious and cool! Also, that cameo with Cloak and Dagger left me wondering why that was there. Hmm... Oh, and I thought this was supposed to be Mark Bagley's last issue! Aw, well!

My pick of the week is...

Ultimate Spider-Man #110. A perfect ending to an awesome arc!!

Okay grading time again! Let's do this....

MARVEL

Captain America #27 - [A] - SWEET ish again! Bucky is a badass character! He's got his missions and personal agendas as always! It really was a great issue that's for sure! Brubaker has become one of my favorite writers and Steve Epting is equally amazing!

Fallen Son: The Death of Captain America- Spider-Man - - Well they picked the right character for Depression! Finch's art blew me away as it always does! It was a great issue, I just can't help feeling something is missing... Can't wait for the finale! This series has paid off big time!

Incredible Hulk #107 - [A] - "A" material all the freakin' way! I loved this issue! Namor is an ass as always! Hercules is really sweet in this issue! The end leaves you guessing at The Hulk's decision! Really good issue, I loved it! My only complaint! I WANT MORE KORG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and they better not kill him off!

Ghost Rider #12 - [B+] - Yeah it was a good issue! I only have one MAJOR complaint! All this ish is, is a set up for the next part! No Hulk vs. GR action! But the start I enjoyed! The first time in this series that you see a conflict between Johnny and Zarathos! And him kicking another Lucifer's ass was wild and I dug it! The art, in my opinion, was pretty good here! Hopefully next issue we'll get a lot of action!

The Invincible Iron Man: Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. #19 - [B] - I don't know if it's the art or what, but... No wait! Let me start over! I don't know if I am a big fan of the coloring/inking! Looks kinda different to me! Still really good issue! I liked how they showed the events of Tony leading right up to his big battle! But then again nothing BIG happened here! We saw a different angle and perspective on The Hulk vs. Iron Man! Still good, but I want a fresh fight!

Heroes for Hire - [C+] - Um I didn't get most of that issue! This is the first issue of Heroes for Hire I bought! Kevin was right! It was ending last issues's arc that I hadn't even read! But I'm confident it'll be more Hulk related next issue! The chemming between Humbug and Miek made it worth it! And then that soldier killing the poor little native! Miek's gonna be pissed!

Moon Knight #11 - [A] - I LOVED this issue! Yes the order was a little screwy, but it's not the first comic I've read like that! First of all I felt Moon Knight's rage when The Midnight's Man's son AKA Jeff Wilde, was threatening Marlene! Some pretty brutal taunts! I'd be pissd too! I hope MK kicks his ass come next issue! Oh and the little part with Tony Stark is very interesting! What could he want with my favorite hero Moon Knight? But man I really did LOVE this issue!

Ultimate Spider-Man #110 - [A] - Well this arc was one of my fan favorites! And this conclusion was great too! I loved the part where Spidey explained to DD, to stop him from doing something bad! (You know what it was, I won't spoil it for those who don't) He sounded like a mature Spider-man there! And oh YEAH! Did MK finally shine or what? He ended up being the big hero! YEAH! Iron Fist I almost flet bad for! Know I know his reasons! And Kingpin getting arrested! HA! SERVES YA RIGHT FATTY!!! Can't wait for the next one! Bagley will be passing the torch in the issue to Immonen! It's gonna be Sad!

Amazing Spider-Man #541 - [B+] - Didn't like it as much as last, but it was still good! Big set up for next issue! Kingpin Vs. Spidey! Gonna be a classic throwdown! The art and story is/ was good as always! And Spider-Man is freakin' crazier than ever in this one! He's a Moon Knight in training! Laughing

Sensational Spider-Man #38 - [B+] - Lemme make this clear! I don't buy Sensational! The only reason I got this is I want this current 2 part arc! It's called "The Last Temptation of Eddie Brock". As most know Eddie is in the hospital with cancer! Well guess who comes looking for him in this issue! That's right! His evil side! He is gonna do something horrible to Aunt May and MJ next issue! I hope I'm wrong, but it looks that way! This issue impressed me! I'm picking up the next one and then I am done!

X-Men Endangered Species One-Shot - [B+] - Really long, but nothing huge happened! Some mutant kid died and the X-Men mourn him! Big set up for the event! Although the art is the reason to buy it! Fantasticly GREAT! The writing was good too!

The Mighty Avengers Handbook - [A] - I found it useful! A lot of info on all The Avengers! It was good, because it had there whole freakin' histories in there! Real long, but nice n' handy!

Marvel Spotlight: Captain America Remembered - [A] - Really good! A lot of interviews! A lot of old Cap pictures! This was well worth it for me! 42 pages of good ol' Cap remembering for only 3 bucks! GREAT job on this one!

[b]DC

Justice League of America #10 - [A-] - Best JLA issue in a while! This concluded the Lightning Saga arc! All in all it twas a great arc! One of the biggest comebacks in DC history at the end! Wally West, The Flash, is back! Great ish with good writing! And the art is really good too! Very nice job on #10!

The Brave and the Bold #4 (Lobo and Supergirl) - [B] - Good issue, and I am liking this series so far! Lobo is an awesoem anti-hero, that I fell in love with during 52! Interseting chemistry that was funny! Really, George Perez is one of the, if not THE best artist in the biz! I have his autograph, too! He is great! He drew the Avengers AND the JLA back in the day! Good issue!

Countdown #45 - [A] - Once again, another great ish of Countdown! This weekly series is great in my opinion! The art and the writing is always spot on! Cannot wait for the next one!

My pick of the week, that will be in the running for best of this month is...

Moon Knight #11!!!!!!! And trust me this was a hard pick! There were 5 that I considered, but MK blew me away this week! WOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOO!!!!!!

Here's the best books of June so far...

World War Hulk #1
Moon Knight #11

Aw, I forgot to get Amazing!

Oh, I didn't have the chance to read Endangered Species until after I got done grading because I left it in the car! I thought it was extremely powerful to me. I mean, when someone dies, it's tragic, but with the mutants... It's just that much closer before they're all gone. I doubt I'll be following all the titles but I'm excited to see where all of this will be going.

Ultimate X-Men #83 - [C+] - It's a wonder how Kirkman can pack so much stuff into one issue sometimes. Scott's decision to disband the X-Men looks like it won't last long. The Morlocks aren't exactly as much of team as I first though were, too. I am loving who the surprise character is though. Also, Nightcrawler's personality is confusing me a lot. How is he crazy again? And what happened to his accent??!!

Ultimate Fantastic Four #43 - [B] - This arc is beginning to attract me more than I hoped it would! The Silver Surfer's abilities are astounding compared to 616 and he has a totally different attitude too. Also, I cannot begin to elaborate how awesome Pasqual Ferry's art is! He's so close to trumping the movie's version of SS! Glad to see Danvers in the Ultimate U.! And, is it just me or is Reed's sister acting younger than before??

Ultimate Vision #4 - [B-] - It's been forever since #3 came out and I had almost forgot about this series. Not much happens except the final battle to next issue. I'm skeptical about Tarleton's change of heart though...

World War Hulk: X-Men #1 - [B] - Some nice action and story development in this one. I can't help but wonder who those New X-Men are though. The monologue baffled me because I couldn't tell whose it was! Professor X's decision on whether to send Hulk away though is what makes me want to get the next issue.

World War Hulk: Frontline #1 - [B+] - I was waiting for this series for a while and was glad that it met to my expectations. It picks off right where CW: Frontline did and also adds what's been going in WWH. The thing I love about this series is that Jenkins makes these characters so real and dynamic that it's impossible not to admire his work. Hopefully this series'll continue to be just as good as this one.

Justice, Like Lightning: Thunderbolts #115 - [A] - A great arc with as much violence that it's funny how this didn't recieve a Parental Advisory. Bullseye shined here and almost-- ALMOST-- made me feel for him. Steel Spider on the other hand, was given all that sympathy. I guess they'll sometimes open a can of whupass on some heroes like Jack Flag and lose some. I was so amazed how Penance acted here and how this situation was handled. Ellis is a genuis...

The New Fantastic Four #547 - [C+] - I'm not really liking how this series is going. I thought that Black Panther and Storm were going to have more time in this series than Reed, not the other way around. This group of enemies that's plaguing the FF aren't really that amazing or cool. There's hardly anything that's keeping this series fresh, but I'll still wait for next issue.

Black Panther #28 - [B-] - Like the FF, I'm not really getting with thise change. At least the new FF are here though and they're kicking some tail. But this isn't really the kind of story that should be here. It feels too forced. Furthermore, I think Marvel's just milking the Marvel Zombies WAAAAY too much. They're now everywhere! I'll be back for next issue though...

Silent War #6 - [A+] - A powerful and masterful issue that rocked my world. Never have I read a miniseries like this. Full of surprising turns and twists make this one a keeper. And the best thing about this is the resolution! One of the best endings ever! The last two pages sent what I think is foreshadowing. One thing I can't help but notice is when this all takes place. I presume it's before World War Hulk #1...

My pick of the week is...

Silent War #6. There are way too many words to describe this issue and its entertaining end.

The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born #4

Nova #3

Ultimate Spider-Man #110

Silent War #6

MY PICK OF THE MONTH goes to.....

Silent War #6. I love the ending way too much because this series had an omnious ending around Black Bolt that felt like there's a sequel in the making. Go out and read all six issue if you haven't already done so!!!!

Um okay! Another week to grade! Here we GO:

MARVEL

X-Men #200 - [A-] - Yeah this issue was hot! That cover alone was just superb! A lot of shocking betrayals here! And then there was one I knew had to happen sooner or later! And the backup tale, Endangered Species Chapter 1, blew me away! I really wish I could get all 17 chapters, but to do that I'd have to buy X-Titles I've never read before! But anyways great ish!

X-Men First Class #1 - [A+] - The best X-book out there right now, is not what you would expect! It's X-Men First Class!! It's such a great series! It takes you back to the old days, when the original team was around! The art and writing are always spot on! The humor and jokes are there too! There is one part in it that made me crack up! I'll tell you it quick:

Prof X. is worried that Jean needs a woman role model, since she's stuck on a team with 4 boys! In the background Bobby drake, is whistling and thinking some joke! Prof X., without looking at Bobby, says "And No thank you, Robert, I will not put on a long wig as a solution. Please think your jokes more quitely.

I lauged real hard! I am glad that they have decided to make Volume 2, an ongoing series! I absolutely LOVE this book!

Black Panther #28 - [A-] - I actually liked it quite a bit! Ever since the first Marvel Zombies series ended, I was wondering what would happen next! THIS is it! I love the Marvel Zombies idea, and this issue was good in my opinion! I will continue to buy anything Marvel Zombies related!

World War Hulk: Frontline #1 - [A] - Loved it, loved it, LOVED it! I loved the CW Frontline series, and this picking up where it left was pure sweetness! Oh and what I liked most was, MORE KORG!!! YEAH! This series is shaping up to be something great! And it's only the first issue!

World War Hulk: X-Men #1 - [A] - I liked the art and the writing!Obviously I wanna know what everyone else wants to know! How would have Prof X. voted???? I have a feeling that this may be the best of the WWH tie ins, but we'll see!

Ultimate X-men #83 - [B-] - UXM has been inconsistent at best lately! This issue was not too bad, and I do like how the new X-men line up is shaping up! But the art has been meh lately to me, and like Kevin siad, too much crap was packed into one issue! I liked how Kurt is feeling sorry for his actions, but he sounded a lot different! All in all, it was an okay ish!

Ultimate Fantastic Four #43 - [A-] - SS is awesome! How about that Pasqual Ferry, huh? His art is breathtaking! The Surfer's powers are sweet! The action scenes were nicely handled too! This is the premier FF mag out there right now! Whoo yeah!

Thunderbolts #115 - [A-] - This first arc did not dissapoint! Ellis IS a genuis! I really like the Steel Spider! He's pretty cool, if maybe a little insane! Bullseye got what he had comin' to him! I loved what the American Eagle said to him! He was exactly right! My only gripe is: I wanna see Norman turn into Goblin again and soon!!

Ultimate Vision #4 - [B+] - Nothing much happened here! Thes tory hardly progressed! It seemed like a filler issue for the finale! C'mon after waiting months for this, we deserved more!

Fantastic Four #547 - [C+] - For what I thought of it, see Kevin's review! I agree with everything he said there! The enemies are boring in my opinion! I want Sue and Reed back! Wah!

Silent War #6 - [A+] - WHOA! That issue was great! That series was great! That last page was great! Do I smell a sequel maybe?Oh and Kevin, seeing how you liked this series as much a me, you should pick up Son of M, that series led directly into this on and was just as thrilling!

DC

Countdown #44 - [B+] - Perhaps not as strong as the last few, still a great read! This new Monarch dude is a complete badass! He's realy cool looking! Mary Marvel is turing much darker too, ever since she got Black Adam's powers!

Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps Special - [A++++++++++++] - Okay, this issue was the best issue I've read so far this year! MY GOD! IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!! I paid 5 dollars for it and it was worth every damn penny! Every page was gorgeous as could be! Sinestro's oath sent chills down my back! There were TOO many shocking moments to count! Geoof Johns has always been my favorite DC writer and this issue proves why!

And may I please reveal my favorite current comic book artist? Mr. Ethan Van Sciver!!!!!!!!! Oh my God, I thought I was viewing heaven when I saw the art in this comic! Every page has detail that is uncomparable to any other artist! The details are better than HDTV! Dave Gibbons has got to take a lot of credit for this masterpiece as well! Best inker in the biz! And the storytelling was masterful! An unforgetable triple sized spectacular! Never in my life have I read something so amazing! 5 dollars for this? I'da paid 20!!!!! This issue is not to be missed if you're a GL fan, a DC fan, or a comic book fan! This is a set up for the big event that will be running through the two GL titles! The Corps war!

Oh and the action in this will blow YOUR minds!!!!!! All prasie the makers of this treasure! The back up tale was the icing on the cake! I read this thing 3 times already! It's better with each read! DC has put out the most amazing comic I've read in over 6 months!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!

My pick of the week is:

Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps Special!!!!!!!!!!!

How could it not be! Read above if you wanna know! I can't say anything else! I gotta go read it AGAIN!

Great series, it was!

I also forgot to mention! Green Lantern: The Sinestro Corps Special, winning book of the month and of this week, marks the first time I've chosen a DC book for book of the month and of the week! Just a little fun fact!

Okay, I'm real late on this, but it's time to rate my comics from this Wednesday...

MARVEL

Uncanny X-Men #488 - [A-] - Okay this ish was real nice! Kurt and Prof. X seem to be pretty trustworthy with each other! The main story was nicely done! Gotta give it to Brubaker! He does a good job on this title! Oh and the art was great! But I was gonna give it a B! The reason I gave it an A- was because the Endangered Species Chapter 2 back up tale! It was excellent! Mark Bagley drew it and that ROCKED!!!!

Stephen King's The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born #6 - - Yeah it was good and all, but I want some action! Where's the real action I have been waiting for! Plus only 1 more issue and this great series comes to an end! NOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Marvel Zombies VS. Army of Darkness #5 - [B+] - The conclusion was solid!!! How about zombie Moon Knight? That was sweet! Really another great mini and I loved the ending! I love everything Marvel Zombies!!

Fallen Son: The Death of Captain America- Iron Man - [B+] - Great series to honor an amazing hero! The ending was great! What a perfect way to put Cap to rest! Sad ending, but fitting for Cap! What an issue! That panel in the end, was amazingly beautiful!

The Irredeemable Ant-Man #10 - [B-] - Now I enjoy Kirkman's writing very much, but this issue was what I call an unneccesary WWH tie in! Ant Man just got tossed around inside of The Hulk! That's it? Yup! The art was solid, I'll admit, but really this was the second worst WWH tie in yet! The worst was Heroes for Hire!

Ultimate Power #6 - [A-] - WOWEE!!!! Ultimate Doom is back!!!!!!!!!! What a shock ending! And that cover was hot!!! This is my favorite issue of the series yet! Well done here! Can't wait to see where this goes now! Woo yeah!

The New Avengers/The Transformers #1 - [A+] - Here we go! I was excited beyond belief for this one and the hype was justified! The art was astounding! The story was really great! The Transformers are so cool! There are 3 more comin' yet and I want em' all now!!!!!! Pick this issue up if you haven't done so already! The best part is this is in Continuity! Man I loved this!!!!

Thor #1 - [A-] - This issue absolutely lived up to my expectations! Great to see him back!!! I'm not yet sold on his new duds, but I'll come around! Okay the writing was perfect! The art was completly astounding! My only complaint? The pace of it! I wanted things to move a tad quicker! But really great ish! Just not my favorite this week!

[b]DC

Countdown #43 - - Not the best ish yet! A big funeral is the highlight of this issue! The Flash died! But not the one I liked anyways! I loved Wally West the best! So now that the NEW Flash is dead, maybe Wally will be back! I hope so! If he comes back, I'll collect The Flash again!

Action Comics #851 - [B+] - This book has a great team! Geoff Johns- my fave DC writer, Richard Donner- C'mon you know him- director of Superman, The Goonies, etc. Really good one, very few complaints, I just hate how it's been jumping around lately! This has been a great arc, but it's been put off, and now if I wanna read the conclusion, I have to buy the Annual! Can't DC juts keep this arc in it's regular book?

Odd outs

Who Wants to be a Superhero? - Feedback- one shot- [A+] - Finally!!!!! It was supposed to come out last December and has been delayed too long! Stan "the Man" Lee shined here! Now I remember watching the show last year, and rooting for Matthew Atherton AKA Feedback to win! He did win and this is his comic! His origin was done exceptionally well, and I love Feedback! Really loved this issue! Feedback rules! (this was a Dark Horse comic)

The Astounding Wolf-Man #2 - [A+] - YEAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I paid 3 bucks for this, and I didn't regret it! This issue was just as great as the 1st issue! Everything from his super hero costume, to him gaining control of his transfomations, to the shovk cliffhanger ending was beautifully written and drawn by Kirkman and Jason Howard! This is my new favorite series! By that I mean, my favorite series that is still new! I'm sticking with this as long as this series lasts! And the good news is this series is doing well according to Kirkman! Oh and you shoulda read Ed Brubaker's printed letter in the back! It was funnier than Hell! Now there's a contset to see who can come up with the name of the letters page! I'm writing in, to try and win! I've settled on "The Silver Bullet Express" as my title! Awoooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! I'm howling loud for this series! YEAH!

Okay my favorite comic this week is...

A TIE!

The New Avengers/The Transformers and The Astounding Wolf-Man #2!!!!

BOTH ARE GREAT! !!!!!!!!!

Oh and I figured since I've never graded this thus far, I'll do it now...

The Astounding Wolf-Man #1 - [A+] - I loved this issue and everything in it! All of the characters were great and I fell in love with the world of The Wolf Man! Nuff' Said!
